Preparing for your experience 

Congrats! You’ve taken the first huge step of booking a date and putting your deposit down - now it’s real! Prior to the shoot I will send you information on what’s best to wear, how to prepare and what to expect on that day. The more I know about your family, the better I am able to capture your family authentically. If your kids or pets have a special toy or hobby please make sure to bring that. Capturing who they are TODAY is so important as it helps us to see the unique aspects that make them, them!

Hair, makeup and the shoot

Photoshoots start at 10:00 am at the designated location. If you’ve opted in for hair and makeup we will coordinate where that will take place. We will walk you through your options to create your ideal look. This normally takes around an hour and in that time you can sit back and relax.

The shoot itself generally takes around about 45-60 minutes. First we will go through all the options for outfits you brought and I will choose what I know will photograph best. Once we pick your wardrobe we will ease into the shoot. You might notice especially with children or timid pets that I don’t actually photograph right away. Giving them time to warm up to me and to trust me helps the process of the shoot go more smoothly. Be prepared to laugh at my very corny jokes and posing tips that may even seem silly.

After the shoot, we will either plan for your scheduled ordering session that day at my home studio which is located at 283 S Orchard Street in Wallingford OR we will agree upon a later time to hold the ordering session.

Your Ordering Session

After your shoot will be presented with a cinematic presentation of the best photos from your session. It’s here where you’ll get to pick your favorite photographs and together we will create custom artwork for your home. Your Ordering Session allows you to purchase your artwork the day of your shoot - you’re not going to wait weeks to see your photographs. I will help guide you to the artwork that will give you the daily reminder of your confidence, your happiness and your true authentic family- talk about an experience!

How to invest in what you love at your ordering session 

1. You pay with a credit card/cash or check and your products will be ready for pickup or installation within 3 weeks 

2. You go on a payment plan with me and your products will be ready once your payment plan has been fully paid off. The day of your shoot, you'll be responsible to pay as much as you can (usually around 50% of the total) and the remaining balance gets divided up into weekly payments.

3. Apply for PayPal credit which allows you to pay me in full that day and your products will be ready within 3 weeks and you will have a 0% payment plan with PayPal for 6 months.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

Our calendar is busy and the days and times we open up to clients are exclusively reserved for them and no one else. We only work with one client a day and this means the day of your shoot, myself, my team of hair & makeup artists as well as my assistant block off their calendar and pass on any other opportunities for their own small business so they can serve you best. Out of respect for you, my team and my home we encourage clients to keep their appointments but also understand that emergencies come up.

Cancellation: The retainer that you paid to book the date of your shoot is NON-REFUNDABLE and is forfeited if you decide to cancel your shoot. 

Reschedule: If you find you aren’t able to keep the original date but simply would like to reschedule, there is a $250 fee to cover any losses of money paid to book my team.
